Beijing implemented the China 6 emission standard on January 1, 2020. Currently, the national "China 6 standard" is divided into two phases: "China 6a" and "China 6b", with plans for nationwide implementation in 2020 and 2023 respectively. The China 6 standard, officially known as the "National Sixth Stage Emission Standards for Motor Vehicles", aims to enforce environmental protection laws, reduce and prevent vehicle exhaust pollution, protect the ecological environment, and safeguard human health. Compared to the China 5 standard, the nitrogen oxide and particulate matter limits for heavy-duty vehicles under China 6 are reduced by 77% and 67% respectively. 2.
