In a manual transmission, the clutch should be pressed when shifting gears or when stopping and waiting. The functions of the clutch are: 1. When the clutch pedal is released, the hydraulic pressure is relieved; 4. The release fork gradually returns to its original position under the action of the return spring, and the clutch returns to the engaged state.
When I first got my driver's license, I was always confused about when to press the clutch pedal in a manual transmission car. It wasn't until I drove more that I finally understood.
