When Should Fog Lights Be Turn On?

According to relevant road regulations, motor vehicles should turn on fog lights when visibility is less than 200 meters in rainy or foggy weather. Fog lights are specifically designed for use in foggy conditions and other situations with low visibility. The purpose of fog lights is to make the vehicle visible to others when visibility is poor due to rain or fog, so the light source of fog lights needs to have strong penetration. Fog lights are installed below the bumper, at the position closest to the ground on the vehicle body, to ensure their effectiveness. If installed too high, the light cannot penetrate the rain or fog to illuminate the road conditions (as fog is generally thinner below 1 meter), which can easily lead to hazards. The fog light switch usually has three positions: position 0 is off, position 1 controls the front fog lights, and position 2 controls the rear fog lights. When position 1 is selected, the front fog lights operate; when position 2 is selected, both front and rear fog lights work together.
