Target has not yet officially announced the specific dates for its 2025 Car Seat Trade-In event. However, based on their consistent annual schedule over many years, we can make a reliable prediction. The event is typically held twice a year: once in the spring (around April) and again in the fall (around September). During these periods, you can bring an old car seat to a Target store and receive a 20% off discount coupon toward the purchase of a new car seat, travel system, or select other baby gear.

The primary goal of the program is to promote child passenger safety by ensuring expired or damaged seats are properly recycled and not resold or reused unsafely. Car seats have an expiration date, usually 6 to 10 years from the date of manufacture, due to plastic degradation and evolving safety standards.

To prepare, locate the expiration date on your current seat (often stamped on the back or bottom) and check it against the timeline below. When the event is active, you simply bring the old seat to the Guest Services desk. The coupon is typically valid for a limited time, so it's wise to research your new seat options beforehand.

YearSpring Event PeriodFall Event PeriodDiscount Offered
2024April 22 - May 11September 9 - September 2820% Off Coupon
2023April 23 - May 6September 10 - September 2320% Off Coupon

2021April 18 - May 1September 12 - September 2520% Off Coupon
2020April 19 - May 2September 13 - September 2620% Off Coupon

Your best bet is to start checking Target's official website and their circulars in early April 2025 for the official announcement. Signing up for Target's RedCircle newsletter or checking parenting blogs can also provide early alerts.

I mark my calendar every year for this. I'm a mom of three, so I've been through a few car seats. Target is pretty consistent. I'd put money on the first event being sometime in mid-to-late April 2025. The second one will likely be in September. Just keep an eye on the Target app or their weekly ad flyer starting in early spring. It's a great deal—you get a coupon for 20% off a new one, and they recycle the old one for you. Super easy.

Why can't the Audi rearview mirror heating be turned on in summer?

Audi rearview mirror heating not working? The Audi rearview mirror heating system is designed to operate only when the ambient temperature is below 15 degrees Celsius. Therefore, if the rearview mirror heating isn't functioning, the first consideration should be whether the outdoor temperature is too high. If temperature isn't the issue and the heating still doesn't work, it's advisable to seek timely maintenance. Here's some relevant information: 1. Suitable for rainy and snowy weather: The car rearview mirror heating is particularly useful during rainy or snowy conditions. When activated, the heater behind the mirror quickly warms the surface, gradually removing rain or fog from the mirror. This eliminates the need for drivers to frequently wipe the mirrors manually, thereby reducing driving hazards. 2. Effect: In rainy or snowy weather, when the rearview mirror heating switch is pressed (with the indicator light on), the heating elements reach a set temperature (typically between 35-60 degrees Celsius) within minutes. Both side mirrors may emit warm air, while water droplets on the mirror surface evaporate as temperature rises, and fog gradually disappears. This achieves the effects of defogging and deicing the mirrors.
