When does the ABS system activate?

ABS system activates when wheels lock up during emergency braking. Functions of ABS system: Maximize braking efficiency, shorten braking time and distance; effectively prevent vehicle skidding and fishtailing during emergency braking, ensuring good driving stability; allow steering during emergency braking, maintaining good steering control; avoid severe friction between tires and ground, reducing tire wear. Working principle of ABS system: During braking, ABS closes the normally open input solenoid valve for wheels that begin to lock based on speed signals from each wheel speed sensor, maintaining constant braking force. If wheels continue to lock, it opens the normally closed output solenoid valve. This keeps braking at optimal conditions, achieving best braking performance and maximum driving safety.
