Holders of a B1 driver's license are permitted to drive medium-sized buses as well as vehicles covered by C1 and M license categories. The term 'medium-sized bus' here refers to vehicles with a body length not exceeding 6 meters and a certified passenger capacity of fewer than 19 people, commonly known as minibuses. According to legal regulations, new drivers must wait one year after obtaining their license before driving on highways. If the driver's license has been valid for less than one year, the driver must be accompanied by someone who has held a driver's license for more than three years when driving on highways. During the probationary period, probationary drivers must display a probationary sign on their vehicle. Failure to do so will result in penalties. Probationary drivers are not allowed to drive buses, commercial passenger vehicles, police cars, fire trucks, or similar vehicles. Article 75 of the 'Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driver's Licenses' states: When driving a motor vehicle on a highway during the probationary period, the driver must be accompanied by someone who has held a corresponding or higher-level driver's license for more than three years. Legal basis: Article 75 of the 'Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driver's Licenses': During the probationary period, motor vehicle drivers are prohibited from driving passenger buses, commercial passenger vehicles, police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, engineering rescue vehicles, or vehicles carrying explosives, flammable and explosive chemicals, toxic or radioactive substances.
