What Vehicles Can a G License Drive?

G license is an agricultural machinery license, which only permits driving tractors. After May 1, 2004, with the implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law, the new driver's license no longer includes the G category. The G license is issued by agricultural machinery supervision departments, while the C license is a nationally recognized regular driver's license issued by public security traffic management departments. These two licenses belong to different authorities and should not be confused. According to Article 8 of the 'Tractor and Combine Harvester Driver's License Management Regulations,' the types of machinery that tractor and combine harvester drivers are permitted to operate are classified as follows: Wheeled tractor, code G1; walking tractor, code K1; crawler tractor, code L; wheeled tractor transport unit, code G2 (permitting operation of wheeled tractors); walking tractor transport unit, code K2 (permitting operation of walking tractors); wheeled combine harvester, code R; crawler combine harvester, code S. Article 12 of the 'Tractor and Combine Harvester Driver's License Management Regulations': First-time applicants for a driver's license shall fill out an application form and submit the following materials: the applicant's identity proof; physical condition proof. Article 13: Applicants seeking to add permitted machinery types shall apply to the agricultural machinery supervision authority at the place of license issuance or residence, fill out an application form, and submit the driver's license and the materials specified in Article 12 of these regulations.
