Vehicles that can be driven with a Class C license include: small and mini passenger vehicles, light and mini cargo vehicles, light, small, and mini special-purpose vehicles, low-speed cargo vehicles, and small automatic transmission passenger vehicles for disabled individuals. The Class C license is divided into C1 license (C1 driver's license), C2 license (C2 driver's license), C3 license (C3 driver's license), C4 license (C4 driver's license), and C5 license (C5 driver's license). The Class C license is a type of driver's license and was a type of driving permit before May 2004. After May 2004, according to the Road Traffic Safety Law and its supporting policies, the old Class C licenses held by drivers were automatically converted to B1 licenses (B1 driver's licenses) in the local vehicle management office's driver's license database. If the conversion is agreed to, drivers with old Class C licenses must submit an annual medical examination report. If they do not wish to convert, they must apply to the vehicle management office to downgrade to the new C1 license (C1 driver's license).
