According to the "Motor Vehicle Driver's License Business Work Standards", a B2 driver's license can drive heavy and medium-duty trucks; heavy and medium-duty special-purpose vehicles. Other permitted vehicle types include: C1, C2, C3, C4, and M. Drivers must operate motor vehicles according to the vehicle types specified on their driver's license. According to the "Regulations for the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China", driving a motor vehicle that does not match the permitted vehicle type on the driver's license is considered unlicensed driving in nature. Penalties include a fine of 200 to 2,000 yuan, 12 demerit points, and may also include detention for up to 15 days. According to Article 90 of the "Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China", if a motor vehicle driver violates the road traffic safety laws and regulations regarding road traffic rules, they shall be given a warning or fined. If there are other provisions in this law, the penalties shall be imposed according to those provisions. I've been driving heavy trucks for many years with a B2 driver's license, which mainly allows you to operate heavy-duty vehicles like big trucks and dump trucks. In practice, you can also drive some special operation vehicles, such as cranes or concrete mixers, but not regular cars or buses. I haul goods long-distance every day and have to be careful not to overload the truck, otherwise, it's easy to get fined by traffic police. Actually, getting a B2 license is quite challenging—you have to be at least 21 years old to apply, and there's a lot to learn at driving school, from reversing to hill starts, all of which need to be mastered. When driving heavy vehicles on the road, safety comes first—always check the brake lights and tire pressure, and don't rush to save fuel. If friends ask, I tell them this license is suitable for those who want to work in transportation—it offers flexible hours and good earnings. But don't drive private cars with it—getting caught would be a big problem because regular cars can't be registered under this license. Anyway, after getting a B2, take on more jobs—city moves or construction site deliveries are always in demand.
