The New Santana 1.6 uses semi-synthetic oil with a 5W40 parameter. As long as the oil has the same parameters, the difference between brands is minimal, but it is essential to use engine oil with the correct specifications. Engine oil is a crucial factor affecting engine performance and lifespan. The New Santana measures 4473mm in length, 1706mm in width, and 1469mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2603mm. It features front-wheel drive, a front MacPherson independent suspension, and a rear compound torsion beam independent suspension. The New Santana offers two engine options: a 1.4L and a 1.6L. The 1.4L engine delivers a maximum output of 90 horsepower and a peak torque of 132 Nm, while the 1.6L engine produces a maximum power of 110 horsepower and a peak torque of 155 Nm.

My new Santana 1.6 uses 5W-30 synthetic oil, which I think is the safest choice because it's manufacturer-recommended with moderate viscosity—fuel-efficient while protecting the engine. It flows well in cold winters, preventing dry starts, and doesn't thin out excessively in summer heat to avoid wear. I suggest changing it every 7,500 km or so, depending on actual usage. Avoid oils that are too thick or thin; for example, 10W-40 works in southern regions, but it's best to check the manual or consult a repair shop to avoid compromising driving safety. Regular oil changes also prevent carbon buildup and extend engine life—don't delay them too long.

How to Turn Off a Car?

Press the brake pedal to ensure the vehicle is stationary, shift the gear to N (Neutral); engage the parking brake; shift to P (Park), and release the brake pedal. Turn off any unnecessary electrical devices in the car; verify that the gear is in P (Park), all unrelated electrical devices are turned off, and the steering wheel is straightened. Turn the key counterclockwise to the end, or press the one-touch start/stop button to switch the ignition to the OFF position.

How to Clean Corroded Automotive Wiring Harness Connectors?

Effective, but prone to scratching the connectors. Please use with caution for expensive earphone connectors. After wiping for 5 minutes, the oxidation on the connector will come off, but some scratch marks may also appear on the connector. However, be careful when using it, as oxalic acid is highly corrosive to stainless steel. High-concentration oxalic acid can also easily corrode fingers. It can also solve the problem, but for gold-plated connectors, use with caution as the gold plating is thin.

How to Repair Minor Car Scratches?

You can first use scratch wax, applying it with a waxing sponge to polish the scratched area, moving in one direction either clockwise or counterclockwise. If the rust is not severe, you can use very fine water sandpaper dipped in water to gently remove the rust spots, but avoid sanding randomly—always sand in straight lines in the same direction. Applying toothpaste can temporarily prevent rust. Clean the scratch with water and let it dry, then slightly dampen a towel, apply toothpaste to it, and rub the scratch firmly.

How to Repair Small Dents on Your Car by Yourself

First, insert the glue stick into the glue gun and heat it for a few minutes. Then, slowly apply the glue from left to right onto the suction cup. Use the residual heat to gently attach the suction cup to the stress point of the larger dent. Then, connect the "T"-shaped tool to the head of the suction cup and evenly pull the suction cup out. Repeat the previous steps until the noticeable small dents are mostly pulled out. Use a hook to slowly "push" out the smaller dented areas. Finally, use a rubber hammer to smooth out any slightly protruding parts.
