The 4S shop technician mentioned that older cars can slightly increase viscosity, such as using 5W-40 to reduce oil consumption. However, the Vios engine has high precision, so sticking to the recommended grade is safest. Don't opt for off-brand oils to save a few bucks, and don't exceed 8,000 kilometers between oil changes.
