In winter, cars can use engine oils with specifications such as 10W40, 5W40, or 0W40. Winter engine oil must meet three key characteristics: low viscosity, low pour point, and good anti-wear properties to provide optimal protection for the engine. Winter temperatures are relatively low, which reduces the fluidity of cold engine oil. Some oils may even solidify in temperatures below -10°C, so winter-grade oil needs to have excellent low-temperature fluidity. Engine oil, or lubricating oil, plays a crucial role in the engine by providing lubrication, cleaning, cooling, sealing, reducing wear, damping vibrations, and preventing rust and corrosion. Currently, engine oils on the market are divided into three types: conventional mineral oil, semi-synthetic oil, and full synthetic oil.
