What transmission is used in the Regal 1.5T?

9-speed HYDRA-MATIC automatic manual transmission. Transmission introduction: The transmission is a gearbox that changes the transmission ratio and direction of movement. It is located between the clutch and the central drive. Functions of the transmission: With the engine speed and torque remaining unchanged, it changes the driving force and speed of the vehicle (shifting); allows the vehicle to move in reverse (reversing); and enables the engine to stop without stalling (neutral gear). According to the transmission form, gear-type transmissions can be divided into three types: two-shaft, three-shaft, and combined. The two-shaft type has two main shafts (excluding the reverse gear shaft) and only undergoes one pair of gear reduction. The three-shaft type has three main shafts (first shaft, intermediate shaft, and second shaft) and undergoes two pairs of gear reduction. The combined type consists of two transmissions connected in series or parallel to obtain more gears with fewer gears.
I've been driving a Buick Regal 1.5T for over a year now, equipped with GM's 9-speed automatic transmission, model name Hydra-Matic 9T50. During daily driving, the gear shifts are exceptionally smooth, especially during highway cruising, where I don't feel any jerking, making it perfect for long trips. In city driving, the acceleration response is quite quick; when I press the accelerator at a red light, it accelerates immediately without any hesitation. In terms of fuel consumption, I find it quite economical, generally maintaining around 8L per 100 kilometers, more reliable than some CVT or dual-clutch transmissions. Occasionally, in rainy weather or on slopes, the transmission hasn't had any issues, though there's a slight delay when starting. Maintenance isn't troublesome either; just follow the manual for oil changes. Overall, I feel this transmission is well-balanced in design, offering both comfort and economy. As a family car, I'm very confident in it and would recommend it to average users.
