What Transmission Does the MG6 Use?
1 Answers
The MG6 is equipped with two types of transmissions: a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The structure of the dual-clutch transmission is similar to that of a manual transmission, with the main difference being the addition of an extra clutch and a set of gear-shifting control mechanisms. In a dual-clutch transmission, one clutch controls the odd-numbered gears, while the other controls the even-numbered gears, enabling very fast gear shifts. The MG6 measures 4704mm in length, 1848mm in width, and 1466mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2715mm. The MG6 High-Speed Edition features SAIC's NetBlue Blue Core high-efficiency powertrain technology, delivering a maximum power of 169 horsepower and a peak torque of 250 Nm, achieving 0-100 km/h in 6 seconds. It also comes standard with the XDS Cornering Dynamic Control System, a must-have for cornering performance.
