What transmission does the all-new Focus use?

The all-new Focus utilizes three types of transmissions: a 6-speed manual transmission, a 6-speed automatic transmission (6AT), and an 8-speed automatic transmission (8AT). The AT transmission is widely used and represents mature technology. Also known as a torque converter transmission, it connects to the engine via a hydraulic torque converter. The new Focus retains Ford's signature Martin grille design, featuring more rounded headlight clusters with LED lighting elements, including Thor's Hammer-style LED daytime running lights similar to Volvo's design. The front bumper adopts a more aggressive styling, particularly on the red sport variant, which boasts an even more dynamic appearance.
