What to Use to Clean Dirty Spark Plugs?

Dirty spark plugs can be cleaned with gasoline. The specific method is as follows: 1. Before removing the spark plug from the engine cylinder, be sure to wipe off the dust and oil stains around the spark plug to prevent them from entering the cylinder when the spark plug is removed; 2. After removing the spark plug, cover the spark plug installation hole to prevent foreign objects from falling into the cylinder; 3. After removing the spark plug, first use a small knife or an old hacksaw blade to scrape off the dirt and carbon deposits on the spark plug. Once the dirt and carbon deposits are cleaned, wash them with gasoline and dry them; 4. Before reinstalling the spark plug, check the electrode gap of the spark plug to ensure it meets the specified gap value for the corresponding vehicle model. If the spark plug electrode gap does not meet the requirements, use a wooden tool to adjust the side electrode of the spark plug. Generally, avoid touching the center electrode to prevent damaging the spark plug insulator.
