What to Prepare for a Driver's License Test?

To obtain a driver's license, you need to bring the following documents: 1. Local Residents: Local residents need a household registration book and a valid ID card. The copy of the household registration book should include the page with the address and the page of the applicant. If there are changes to the ID number or address on the applicant's page, an updated copy is required. 2. Non-local Residents: Non-local residents need an ID card and a temporary residence permit. 3. Documents for Elderly Learners: Elderly individuals can learn to drive either manual or automatic transmission vehicles. They need to prepare the required materials and pass a medical examination. 4. Documents for Learners with Left Lower Limb Disabilities: They can only learn automatic transmission vehicles. They must fill out the Motor Vehicle Driver Application Form and undergo a medical examination at a designated hospital. Only after passing the medical exam can they register. 5. Documents for Active Military Personnel: They must present original and photocopied documents (such as officer's certificate, civilian cadre certificate, soldier's certificate, retired officer's certificate, etc.) and have a medical examination stamp from a hospital at the regiment level or above. A certificate issued by a unit at the regiment level or above (addressed to the Vehicle Management Office of the Municipal Traffic Management Bureau) is also required, stating the applicant's current actual residence and date of birth. Photos submitted must be in military uniform, except for retired military personnel, who cannot wear military uniforms in photos. Military personnel must undergo medical examinations at military hospitals. 6. Documents for Active Armed Police Personnel: They must present original and photocopied documents (such as police officer's certificate, soldier's certificate, civilian cadre certificate, student certificate, retirement certificate, etc.) and have a medical examination stamp from a hospital at the regiment level or above. A certificate issued by a unit at the regiment level or above is also required (with the same content and photo requirements as for military personnel). Armed police personnel must undergo medical examinations at armed police hospitals.
