What to Do When Your Driver's License is Deducted 12 Points?

If your driver's license is deducted 12 points, you should participate in the study of road traffic safety laws, regulations, and related knowledge within 15 days of receiving the notice. After completing the study, you must take the subject one exam within 20 days. If you refuse to participate in the study or the exam, the traffic management department of the public security organ will announce the suspension of your motor vehicle driver's license. If a motor vehicle driver has two or more instances of reaching 12 points or accumulates 24 points or more in a single scoring cycle, the vehicle management office must also conduct a road driving skills test within 10 days after passing the road traffic safety laws, regulations, and related knowledge exam. For those taking the road driving skills test, it will be conducted according to the highest permissible vehicle type specified on their motor vehicle driver's license.
Losing all 12 points on your driver's license is really troublesome. Last time, I got all my points deducted for repeated speeding, couldn't drive, and it even affected my work. I had to rush to the traffic police station to sign up for a 7-day traffic safety course, sitting through three to four hours of lectures every day on traffic regulations and accident cases. After completing the course, I had to pass the theory test (Subject 1) to get my license back. During that period, I couldn't drive and had to rely on buses or taxis, wasting both time and money. My advice is to always watch the speed limit, avoid reckless lane changes, and not accumulate too many violations, or you'll lose your points. Now, I check my points before every trip, afraid of going through it again. If you delay handling it, your license might even get permanently revoked, leading to greater losses.
