What to Do When Your Car Gets Scratched?

There are two methods to handle a scratched car: 1. If the car was scratched while parked and the other party is clearly at fault, assess the extent of the scratch. If possible, take photos or videos as evidence. Consult a local 4S shop or auto repair shop to inquire about repair costs, then negotiate a solution with the other party and have them transfer the payment on the spot. 2. If the scratch is severe or the other party refuses to compensate, call the police or notify your insurance company to intervene. After the traffic police determine liability and the insurance company conducts an inspection, proceed to a 4S shop for damage assessment and repairs. If the other party flees the scene, be sure to report it to the police.
