What to Do When Tires Look Flat but the Pressure is Normal?

This is because the tires currently in use are all tubeless tires, with a normal tire pressure of 2.2-2.6 bar. It is normal for the tires to appear slightly flat as long as they reach the standard pressure specified in the vehicle's manual during inflation, regardless of whether they look flat or not. However, car owners must pay attention to ensuring that the tire pressure is just right—not too high or too low—otherwise, it will accelerate tire wear. Refer to the manufacturer's recommended tire pressure values found in the vehicle's user manual, near the B-pillar, or on the fuel tank cap. If you frequently drive on highways, you can increase the tire pressure by 5%~10% above the reference value to avoid tire standing waves. Not only can sharp objects cause a tire blowout, but insufficient tire pressure can also easily lead to high-speed blowouts due to the standing wave phenomenon. Tire standing waves will cause intense friction among rubber molecules inside the tire, leading to a rapid rise in temperature, separation of rubber layers, accelerated damage to the tire body, and continuous twisting of the internal steel wires or high-strength nylon cords by the "waves," resulting in material fatigue and fracture, ultimately causing a blowout. If car owners do not have the habit of regularly checking tire pressure (for vehicles without a tire pressure monitoring system) and only occasionally walk around the car for a quick visual inspection, problems can easily arise. When tire pressure drops from 2.3 bar to 1.9 bar, there may not be much visible change, but 1.9 bar is already considered underinflated. Only when the pressure drops to 1.5 bar or 1.1 bar will the tires appear noticeably flat, and kicking the wheels will give a distinct "soft" feeling. Therefore, visual inspection can only detect severely low tire pressure situations. Whether the tire pressure meets the standard cannot be accurately determined by the naked eye. The best approach is to promptly visit a repair shop and seek professional assistance from a technician if any issues are detected.
