What to Do When There's No Sound When Playing Music via Bluetooth in the Car

If you're using an Android phone, the media volume on your phone might not be turned on. While playing music, press the volume button on your phone to adjust the volume. Set the media volume to the maximum, then adjust the volume on the car's system as well.
I've encountered the same issue before and spent hours figuring out it was the phone volume not being synced. First, make sure your phone's media volume is turned up to maximum, and also turn up the car's volume knob. Then check the Bluetooth connection status - some vehicles require switching the audio source to Bluetooth mode, look for the media source toggle button on the steering wheel or center console. If that doesn't work, disconnect and re-pair the Bluetooth, forget the device and restart your phone before reconnecting. By the way, some older models require manually authorizing media audio permissions in the car's settings - just connecting phone audio won't work. Finally, check if there's any update available for the car's infotainment system, as system bugs can also cause sound issues - a software refresh at the dealership might solve it.
