What to Do When There's a Layer of Frost on the Windshield?

When there is a layer of frost on the car windshield, simply start the car and wait for the engine to warm up. Then, adjust the air conditioning to direct airflow toward the windshield. After a few minutes, cracks will begin to appear in the frost. At this point, using the windshield wipers along with windshield washer fluid can quickly remove the frost. Additional Tips: 1. After using the car for the day, do not immediately lock the car and leave. Instead, open both doors to allow ventilation until the interior temperature drops to match the outside temperature before locking the doors and leaving. The next morning, there will definitely be no frost on the windshield. Even if it snowed the night before, simply brushing off the snow from the windshield will prevent ice formation, allowing you to drive immediately. 2. The reason the windshield ices over is that after the occupants leave, residual heat inside the car keeps the windshield temperature higher than the outside. This causes moisture in the air or snowflakes to melt upon contact with the windshield. Once the interior and exterior temperatures equalize, the melted snow begins to freeze.
