What to Do When the Wuling Hongguang Makes Abnormal Noises with the Air Conditioning On?

Inspect and repair the clutch electromagnetic coil, and readjust the clutch clearance according to specifications. Replace the compressor bearing. If internal parts or the assembly of the compressor are damaged, replace the damaged parts or the entire assembly. When refrigerant is insufficient, identify the cause of the leak, repair it, and then add refrigerant. If the compressor's refrigeration oil level is too low, add compressor refrigeration oil.
Once when I turned on the air conditioning in my Wuling Hongguang, I also heard an abnormal noise—a buzzing sound that was quite annoying. Later, I found out it was a leaf stuck in the fan blades. After cleaning it, the noise disappeared. I recommend turning off the engine and waiting for it to cool down after parking, then carefully opening the hood to inspect the fan or compressor area for any blockages. Use tweezers to gently remove any debris. It could also be due to loose or worn belts causing friction noise. A simple test of belt tension can determine if it's too loose or tight. Alternatively, internal components of the compressor might be loose, resulting in a clicking sound. Avoid setting the air conditioning to the highest setting immediately—try lowering the fan speed to see if the situation improves. If the noise persists, visit a repair shop promptly to check the compressor, refrigerant, and other components to prevent a minor issue from escalating into a major fault that could affect driving. Regularly cleaning the air conditioning filter and engine compartment dust can also help prevent abnormal noises and prolong the lifespan of your air conditioning system.
