What to Do When the Vehicle License is About to Expire?

The solutions for an expiring vehicle license are: 1. Participate in the motor vehicle inspection within 90 days before the expiration date; 2. For non-exempt vehicles, the owner should bring the authorization letter, vehicle license, and compulsory traffic insurance policy to the motor vehicle inspection station at the testing location for vehicle inspection. After passing the inspection, apply for the inspection qualification mark directly at the station; 3. For vehicles exempt from inspection within 6 years, the public security traffic management department will no longer inspect the motor vehicle when issuing the inspection mark. They will only review the motor vehicle inspection mark application form, vehicle license, compulsory traffic insurance certificate, vehicle and vessel tax payment or tax exemption certificate, and verify the handling of traffic safety violations and traffic accidents. If everything complies with the regulations, the inspection mark will be issued, noted on the supplementary page of the vehicle license, and the motor vehicle inspection mark application form will be stored in the motor vehicle file.
