What to Do When the Sagitar Key Can't Be Pulled Out and the Engine Won't Turn Off?

If the key cannot be pulled out after parking, first check if the gear is in neutral, then slightly adjust the steering wheel. It could also be that the P gear did not trigger the electronic sensor. Clean it thoroughly. Then, shift the gear again and confirm it is properly positioned, after which the key can be pulled out. If the key cannot be turned after insertion, it may be due to improper positioning during the last parking, causing the steering wheel to lock abnormally.
I had this annoying issue with my Sagitar before - the key just wouldn't come out and the engine wouldn't shut off, which really made me sweat. Later I found out it's mostly because the gear wasn't fully shifted to P position. The Sagitar's mechanism is quite rigid, so I tried shifting back and forth a few times to ensure it's properly in P. While turning the key, I'd gently wiggle the steering wheel. If that still doesn't work, it might be the electronic lock or debris stuck in the key slot. When the engine won't shut off, first make sure the car is safely stopped, then try turning off the AC and stereo to conserve battery. For prevention, regularly clean and maintain the key slot. If this problem persists, it's best to have the steering column lock checked at the shop. I've since mastered this method and it's saved me a lot of hassle.
The Sagitar key won't come out and the engine won't turn off. I suspect it might be a minor glitch in the electronic system. If the gear isn't locked in the P position or the ignition lock's internal contacts are stuck, gently shaking the key while slowly turning the steering wheel often helps. Low battery voltage or signal interference might also misjudge the gear position, causing the engine to fail to shut off. It's recommended to check the instrument display in a safe area before turning off the engine. If it still doesn't work, don't force it—the Sagitar's electronic structure is complex and can easily damage the lock cylinder. Through my own research, I found that testing with a spare key or resetting by disconnecting the battery sometimes works, but caution is needed to prevent safety risks.
