What to Do When the Motorcycle Fuel Tank Switch Won't Turn?

The fuel tank cap may be stuck or rusted, making it difficult to turn. You can use a hard object to pry open the gap in the fuel tank cap while pulling the fuel tank cap's pull switch at the same time. If the fuel tank cap cannot be opened due to the cable being too long, open the trunk, remove the plastic fastener, and adjust the cable length. If the fuel tank cap cannot be opened because the spring has lost its elasticity, you can add a spring with suitable elasticity to the protruding rubber pad of the fuel tank to increase the elasticity between the fuel tank cap and the locking mechanism. If the fuel tank cap cannot be turned due to aging at the hinge or engagement point, apply lubricating grease to the hinge and engagement points for lubrication. If the issue is caused by misalignment of the fuel tank cap or a burnt-out small motor, contact a repair station for repair or replacement.
