What to Do When the Dashboard Backlight of Maxus V80 Doesn't Light Up?

The dashboard is a high-definition flat panel or structural component installed with instruments and related devices. It can be classified by form into screen-type dashboards, frame-type dashboards, passage-type dashboards, and cabinet-type dashboards. There are 4 possible reasons why the dashboard backlight of the Maxus V80 doesn't light up: 1. The dashboard backlight switch is not turned on: The solution is to simply turn on the backlight switch. 2. The dashboard circuit board is burnt out: The dashboard needs to be replaced with a new one to resume functionality. 3. The dashboard illumination light is damaged: Disassemble the dashboard. The illumination lights are usually located at the rear of the dashboard. Replace the non-functioning illumination light. 4. The dashboard power supply fuse is blown: Check the electrical fuse of the dashboard. If faulty, replace it with a new fuse.
That night while driving, I noticed the dashboard was pitch black, so I immediately pulled over to check. My first thought was to feel for the fuse box under the steering wheel, locate the fuse for the dashboard backlight (the manual has the number). Pulled it out and sure enough, it was blown. Went to the auto parts market and spent two bucks on a new 20A fuse. If the fuse is fine, it’s probably the dimmer knob acting up—that little wheel on the left side of the dashboard—just twist it a few times. My neighbor’s car had an even weirder issue: the wiring harness plug was loose. Just had to remove the panel under the steering wheel and reconnect it. If you can’t figure it out, don’t force it—for electrical issues like this, heading to the 4S shop is the safest bet.
