What to Do When the Cold Engine Oil Dipstick Exceeds the Upper Limit?

Oil exceeding the upper limit mark indicates an overfill, and a portion needs to be drained. Excess oil can enter the combustion chamber through the gap between the cylinder and piston, burning and forming carbon deposits. Excessive oil increases the stirring resistance of the crankshaft connecting rod, leading to higher fuel consumption. Overfilling the oil can raise internal engine pressure, making it more likely for engine seals to leak oil.
