What to Do When the Charging Pile and Vehicle Interface Don't Match?

Currently, the charging ports of new energy vehicles on the market are basically standardized. It is recommended to purchase a national standard slow charging adapter, as except for Tesla, the slow charging plug types of all electric vehicles sold in China are standardized.
I often drive electric vehicles around and frequently encounter mismatched charging plug interfaces. The first reaction is not to rush to plug or unplug, but to check the type of charging station first. For example, Tesla chargers are specifically designed for Tesla vehicles, and other brands may not fit. In this case, I use a mobile app to check nearby charging stations, which usually display interface information, such as public chargers supporting multiple standards. If all else fails, I carry a universal adapter with me that can convert different interfaces, but make sure to buy a high-quality one—don’t skimp and compromise charging safety. In the long run, I recommend paying attention to charging standards when choosing a car. Currently, CCS and CHAdeMO are mainstream, and China’s new standard is also gaining popularity, reducing future hassles. Additionally, to avoid such situations in remote areas, plan your route in advance to ensure charging point compatibility.
