What to Do When the Car Gets Too Hot in Summer?

You can open the windows to dissipate heat. After blowing air for 2 to 3 minutes, close the car windows or turn on the air conditioning cooling switch. After cooling for 2 to 3 minutes, then turn on the internal circulation. The functions of the air filter include the following 3 points: 1. Provide fresh air: It can prevent the car windows from fogging up, ensuring clear visibility for the driver and safe driving; it can supply fresh air to the cabin, preventing occupants from inhaling harmful gases and ensuring driving safety; it can effectively sterilize and deodorize. 2. Ensure safety and hygiene: It can keep the cabin air clean and free from bacterial growth, effectively separating solid impurities such as dust, core powder, and grinding particles from the air; it can effectively block pollen, ensuring that passengers do not have allergic reactions that could affect driving safety. 3. Adsorb harmful substances: It can adsorb moisture, soot, ozone, and odors from the air, with strong and long-lasting moisture adsorption capabilities.
In summer, the car gets as hot as a sauna, but I have a few habits that help me cope easily. When parking, I always look for a spot under tree shade or in an underground garage to avoid the sun. If that's not possible, I use a front windshield sunshade to reflect the sunlight and prevent the seats from getting too hot to sit on. Before getting in the car, I always open all the doors and windows and stand outside for a minute or two, fanning the air to let the heat escape before entering—this makes driving much more comfortable. After starting the engine, I avoid blasting the AC too hard; instead, I set it around 26°C, first using the external air circulation to ventilate, then gradually switching to internal circulation to save power and fuel. I also carry a small spray bottle to mist water for additional cooling and keep a cooling seat cushion in the car for better ventilation. It’s important not to leave flammable items in the car, as they can easily catch fire in high temperatures. Regularly applying sunshade film to the windows also helps reduce heat buildup.
