What to Do When the Car Body is Tilted After Reversing into the Parking Space?

Keep an eye on the rearview mirror while reversing and control the clutch properly. Judge the distance between the car body and the lines on both sides with the naked eye, ensuring the width is equal on both sides. At this point, steer the wheel in the opposite direction of the wider side, but not too forcefully. Quickly straighten the steering wheel when both sides are of equal width, and the car body will align properly. Continue to control the speed with the clutch and slowly reverse further.
Many drivers have experienced the awkward situation of a crooked car body when reversing into a parking space. I've dealt with numerous similar cases, usually caused by unsteady steering wheel operation or misjudgment of space. Once I notice the car isn't aligned, I immediately brake to stop, then shift to drive gear, gently press the accelerator to move forward slowly for one or two seconds while observing the rearview mirror to gradually adjust the steering wheel angle. After straightening the car body, I shift back to reverse gear and slowly return to the original position. If the first attempt doesn't fully correct it, I'll repeat the process; never force parking to avoid scratches. Regular practice in an empty parking lot to develop spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination can significantly reduce such occurrences. Remember, driving safety comes first—taking time to adjust the car's direction is always better than risking an accident.
