If a driving license accumulates zero points within one cycle, the driver must attend a seven-day training course at the local traffic management department of the public security authority. After completing the training, the driver must retake the subject one exam. The process is as follows: the traffic management department of the public security authority will confiscate the driving license; the driver must participate in the study of road traffic safety laws and regulations and take the exam as required; upon passing the exam, the traffic management department will clear the penalty points and return the driving license. After accumulating 12 penalty points on a driving license, the driver must undergo eight hours of daily training on road traffic safety laws and related knowledge. The exam content is the same as that for new driving test applicants. Once the subject one exam is passed, the penalty points on the driving license will be reset to zero, and the traffic management department will return the driving license to the driver. If the exam is failed, the driver must retake the training and exam.
