What to Do When Charging Wuling Hongguang Mini in the Rain?

Choose a parking spot on higher ground when charging to prevent water accumulation that could lead to the battery being submerged. Before charging, check the charging gun for any accumulated water or debris, and ensure it is cleaned out before proceeding with charging.
When I first drove the Wuling Hongguang Mini, I was also always worried about charging in the rain. The charging port is located above the left rear wheel, and rainwater can easily splash in when charging outdoors. My current solution is simple: after parking, I first plug in the charging gun tightly, then cover the entire charging port and the connection point of the charging gun with a large plastic sheet, securing it around the car body with tape. If there’s a covered charging spot in the community, I prioritize parking there. If not, I wait for the rain to ease before charging. Once, I even used an extra-large plastic bag to wrap the charging head as an emergency measure. Always remember to dry your hands before charging, and it’s best to wear insulated gloves when plugging or unplugging the gun.
