What to Do When a Mercedes Key Fob Battery Dies?
1 Answers
When a Mercedes key fob runs out of battery, simply replace the battery. Pay close attention to the positive and negative terminals when installing the battery to ensure they are not reversed. If the key does not function after battery replacement, it may be due to incorrect battery installation. The steps to replace the car key battery are as follows: 1. Press the button on the car remote key to release the mechanical key. 2. With the side bearing the icon facing upward, hold both sides of the key with your left hand while pressing downward with your right thumb. Pull outward with both hands, applying downward force on the right side of the key. Then, insert a small knife into the gap and pry it open until the key separates into two parts. 3. Forcefully separate the non-patterned side from the middle gap. Between the two parts is a rubber strip. Use a small knife to pry open the circular lithium battery.
