What to Do When a Car Loses Control?
1 Answers
When a car loses control, the solution is to immediately lift the accelerator pedal, shift the gear lever into a lower gear, and evenly apply the parking brake. When the speed significantly decreases, step on the brake pedal to bring the car to a gradual stop. It is crucial to avoid using emergency braking first to prevent the risk of rollover. For vehicles equipped with power steering, if you suddenly find steering difficult and operation strenuous, remain calm and drive cautiously. If the front of the car skids, which is usually caused by entering a turn too quickly with insufficient steering, do not step on the brake. Instead, slowly release the throttle while turning the steering wheel in the direction of the skid to allow the front wheels to regain traction. Immediately turn the steering wheel back and gently apply the throttle.
