What to Do When a Car Battery Won't Charge?

Check if the battery is low on electrolyte. If the electrolyte has dried up, first add distilled water. After adding enough, do not replace the battery's filler caps. Connect a 220V ordinary incandescent bulb in series with the battery and then to a household 220V AC power source to see if the bulb can light up normally. If the bulb lights up normally, continue supplying power for about 1 minute before disconnecting. Wait a few minutes, then connect again for 1 minute. Repeat the above step three to five times, then connect the battery to the charger for a normal 15-hour charging session.
