What to Do If Your Driver's License Has Expired and Not Been Renewed?

If your driver's license has expired and not been renewed, it will be automatically revoked. If the revocation period does not exceed two years, you can restore the normal use of your driver's license by passing the subject one exam. If the revocation period exceeds two years, you will need to reapply for a new license. To renew an expired driver's license, the driver must apply for renewal at the vehicle management office where the license was originally issued within 90 days before the expiration date. The validity period of a driver's license is six years, and a new license is required after this period. Currently, annual reviews for driver's licenses have been abolished, but holders of B1, B2, A1, A2, and A3 licenses must submit a medical examination form to the vehicle management office within 15 days after the initial issuance date of their license each year.
