What to Do If You Fail the Color Blindness Test for License Renewal?
1 Answers
If you fail the color blindness test during the physical examination for driver's license renewal, you cannot renew your license. Failing the color blindness test indicates that the driver is no longer physically fit to operate a motor vehicle and should voluntarily surrender the license. If not surrendered, the license will be revoked by the vehicle management office. Time Regulations: If the license has been expired for less than one year, it can be renewed normally; if expired for more than one year but less than three years, the license will be revoked, but it can be renewed by passing the subject one test; if expired for more than three years, the license will become invalid and cannot be renewed. Renewal Deadline: The driver should apply for renewal at the vehicle management office where the license was originally issued within 90 days before the expiration date of the driver's license. When applying, the "Driver's License Application Form" should be filled out. Required Materials for Renewal: Bring two copies of ID card, two recent 1-inch color photos without hats, original ID card, original driver's license, and a physical examination certificate from a county-level or above hospital (free physical examination is also available at the vehicle management office).
