What to Do If Water Leaks from the Car A-Pillar?

For A-pillar leaks, you can check if the sunroof drainage holes are clogged or if there are any foreign objects in the sunroof tracks. If there are, simply remove them. If the sealing rubber strip is aged or deformed, it needs to be replaced. If the issue arises from uneven adhesive application after windshield replacement, the windshield should be removed and reinstalled with proper adhesive application. Inspect the sealing rubber strips around the windows and the mounting holes of the roof rack. Replace any aged rubber strips if found.
Last time, I was really worried when my car's A-pillar started leaking. It was during a heavy rain, and water was flowing into the car along the A-pillar. Later, upon inspection, it turned out that the sunroof drain pipe was clogged, filled with leaves and mud. Even flushing it with water didn't help, so I had to remove the interior trim to clean it out. This situation is most likely to occur in cars parked under trees for long periods, so it's important to regularly clean the drainage holes on both sides of the sunroof. If the leak is near the windshield, it might be due to cracked sealant. I recommend immediately using a towel to absorb the water to prevent damage to the wiring and quickly finding a repair shop to perform a water spray test to locate the leak.
