What to Do If Water Gets into the Motorcycle Carburetor?

Just drain the water and at most clean the carburetor. Remove the screws at the bottom of the carburetor to drain the water. It's best to clean the carburetor if water gets in, otherwise any remaining water may affect the normal operation of the carburetor.
I remember one time my motorcycle's carburetor got water in it after being caught in the rain. The engine made strange noises and immediately stalled. I slowly pushed it into the garage, carefully opened the carburetor housing, and used a clean cloth to dry the water droplets in the float chamber and nozzle. After letting it air dry naturally for a few hours, I reassembled it. The engine ran smoothly again after starting. This incident taught me to always check the fuel tank cap seal after rain to prevent water seepage and avoid bigger issues. During regular maintenance, I also make sure to inspect the air filter's integrity to ensure the entire system stays dry and safe.
