What to Do If Water Enters a Diesel Fuel Tank?

If the engine can start and run normally, you can add some fuel additives, such as fuel tank water remover or fuel system cleaner. To test if water has entered the gasoline tank, if a gasoline engine connected to a hanging fuel bottle runs without other faults, it can be confirmed that water has entered the car's fuel tank. Remove the spark plugs, disconnect the fuel injector connectors, start the engine, wait until the water in the cylinders is drained, then replace the engine oil and reinstall the spark plugs and fuel injector connectors.
