What to Do If the Original LED Headlights Are Not Bright Enough?
1 Answers
Here are the solutions for insufficient brightness of the original LED headlights: 1. Solution A: Remove the halogen bulb and socket, and directly install vehicle-specific LED bulbs. This method can address the issue of dim low beams, but the improvement in high beam performance is limited. This is mainly because LED lights have shorter wavelengths and higher color temperatures, causing the focal point to deviate from the original halogen bulbs. Directly replacing with LED bulbs results in scattered high beams and shorter illumination distance. 2. Solution B: On the basis of Solution A, add a lens to the high beam position. This approach can resolve the scattering issues for both low and high beams, yielding better results. However, it requires disassembling the headlight to install the lens. 3. Solution C: Due to the high color temperature of LEDs, consider replacing the halogen bulbs with xenon headlights. Generally, installing xenon headlights involves disassembling the headlight, cutting off the original halogen socket, and installing a lens and new socket. Since the color temperature of xenon headlights is adjustable, they can adapt to various road conditions and provide high brightness.
