Here are the solutions for when the Octavia sunroof won't open and the automatic window lift fails: Sunroof won't open: If the sunroof won't open, it may be due to an issue with the sunroof control button's mini-program. Performing an initialization of the sunroof control button can resolve this. The initialization procedure is as follows: Turn on the ignition switch and ensure the car sunroof is completely closed. If the sunroof cannot be closed through normal switch operation, you can use either electrical or mechanical forced closure. Press and hold the sliding switch or tilt switch, then operate the sliding sunroof as follows: tilt up for about 1 second - tilt down - slide open - slide closed. The initialization is then complete. Automatic window lift failure: Turn on the ignition switch, pull and hold the window switch in the upward position. After the window reaches the top, continue holding for more than 3 seconds. Release the switch and immediately press and hold it again to lower the window completely for more than 3 seconds. Repeat the upward movement once more to complete the initialization procedure, and the window lift function will be restored.
