Adjust your mindset, stay calm, and don't let the weather affect you. Control your speed during rainy conditions—drive slower than your usual training speed. During the rainy Subject 2 road test, the examiner will also be concerned about driving safety. Maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead during the rainy test. Avoid slamming on the brakes; instead, use gentle or intermittent braking. Turn on the windshield wipers during the rainy test. The wiper switch is located on the lower right side of the steering wheel, opposite the turn signal switch on the left.
I took the Subject Two driving test on a rainy day and was extremely nervous, but I had prepared thoroughly. Before starting, I checked if the windshield wipers were functioning properly, turned on the headlights to ensure sufficient brightness, and wiped the rearview mirror with a clean cloth to prevent blurring. During the test, I maintained a slow speed, keeping it under 20 km/h, as the braking distance doubles on wet roads in the rain, so I had to brake gently in advance. I stayed calm, took deep breaths, and avoided panic. When the raindrops were heavy, I used tissues to wipe the inside of the windows to prevent fog buildup. I wore a waterproof jacket and non-slip shoes to avoid distractions from wet clothes. For reversing or curve-driving sections, I was extra careful with angle adjustments. If I failed, I didn’t get discouraged—the weather itself had an impact, and more practice would help me get familiar with it.
