Cadillac's SUV models include the XT4, XT5, XT6, Escalade, and SRX, among others. The XT6 is a mid-to-large luxury SUV under the Cadillac brand, with a wheelbase of 2863 mm, and dimensions of 5056 mm in length, 1964 mm in width, and 1780 mm in height. The Cadillac XT6 is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine across all variants, delivering 237 horsepower and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. This engine reaches its peak power at 5000 rpm and its maximum torque between 1500 to 4000 rpm. It is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Last time I accompanied a friend to look at cars, I specifically researched Cadillac. Their SUV lineup now consists of both fuel-powered and electric models. The fuel-powered vehicles include three main models: XT4, XT5, and XT6, with larger numbers indicating bigger sizes. The XT4 is a compact SUV ideal for young people, the XT5 is a well-balanced midsize five-seater, and the XT6 with three rows of seats is a favorite for large families. The new electric favorite is the LYRIQ, featuring a sleek fastback design and a stunning 33-inch giant screen. The flagship model remains the Escalade, a behemoth over 5.3 meters long, which recently introduced a new all-electric version, the Escalade IQ. However, older models like the SRX and the hybrid version of the Escalade have been discontinued.

My cousin just picked up an XT5, so I took the opportunity to familiarize myself with Cadillac's entire SUV lineup. Currently, the most affordable model in the lineup is the XT4, with an out-the-door price just over 300,000 RMB, offering better value than its BBA counterparts in the same class. The mid-range XT5, with discounts, costs around 400,000 RMB and features a practical flat-folding rear seat. For those needing a third row, the XT6 is an option, though the third row is a bit cramped. The electric LYRIQ starts at 430,000 RMB and boasts 800V fast charging, capable of adding 100 kilometers of range in just ten minutes. As for the top-tier Escalade, the showroom model at the dealership costs 1.48 million RMB, while parallel imports are 200,000 RMB cheaper but come without a warranty. Business owners who buy this model often use it as a mobile office.

Over the weekend, I accompanied an old classmate for a test drive of a Cadillac. The salesperson mentioned that their current SUV lineup is divided into two major series: XT and IQ. The XT series, powered by internal combustion engines, ranges from the compact XT4, midsize XT5, to the full-size XT6, all equipped with a standard 2.0T + 48V mild hybrid system. The newly introduced IQ electric series debuted with the LYRIQ as its first model, with the rear-wheel-drive version offering a CLTC range of 653 km. The flagship gasoline model, the Escalade, comes in standard and extended wheelbase versions, all featuring a 6.2L V8 engine with cylinder deactivation technology, though its fuel consumption is quite notable, starting at around 20 L/100km in city driving.
