Hongqi offers four SUV models: ehs3, hs5, hs7, and ls5. Among them, ehs3 is a pure electric SUV, hs5 is a midsize SUV, hs7 is a mid-to-large SUV, and ls5 is a midsize SUV. The Hongqi hs7 has body dimensions of 5035mm in length, 1989mm in width, and 1778mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3008mm. It is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 supercharged engine that delivers a maximum power of 337 horsepower and a peak torque of 445 Nm, reaching maximum torque output between 3000 to 5000 rpm. This engine features direct fuel injection technology and utilizes aluminum alloy cylinder heads and blocks.

As a domestic luxury brand, Hongqi offers a comprehensive SUV lineup. Having driven several models, I find the most noteworthy to be the compact HS3, which is affordably priced starting at just over 100,000 yuan. Though its space is limited, it's convenient for commuting. The midsize HS5 is the best-seller, starting in the 200,000 yuan range, equipped with a 2.0T engine that delivers smooth and comfortable driving. The larger HS7 is more expensive, in the 300,000-400,000 yuan range, with luxurious interiors ideal for family trips. The all-electric E-HS9 is top-tier, starting at 400,000-500,000 yuan but packed with advanced technology. These vehicles incorporate Chinese design elements, such as the vertical waterfall grille, and offer stable driving experiences. Market reception has been positive, especially for the HS5, which offers great value for money, and the brand's extensive after-sales service network makes maintenance hassle-free. Daily usage is economical, with the HS5 averaging around 8 liters per 100 km, while the E-HS9 boasts fast charging and a range exceeding 500 km, making it well-suited for modern families or business needs. Overall, the lineup offers a wide range of choices from entry-level to high-end, all worth test-driving.

Hongqi's SUV lineup showcases impressive technological highlights. I've studied their powertrains closely: the compact HS3 features a fuel-efficient 1.5T engine; the midsize HS5 offers optional 2.0T or hybrid versions with smooth, quiet power delivery; the full-size HS7 packs a more powerful engine with air suspension for enhanced comfort; while the flagship E-HS9 is a pure EV boasting over 500km range with fast-charging capability. Their chassis, built on a self-developed platform, prioritizes comfort tuning and comes loaded with safety features like automatic emergency braking. Advanced smart tech is prevalent too, with many models featuring standard connectivity and driver-assist systems. During test drives, I noticed responsive handling, precise steering and low NVH levels. These technical refinements make for confident, reliable driving - particularly during family road trips where stability shines.

The Hongqi SUV series truly excels in design! I've test-driven the compact HS3, which boasts a sporty and dynamic look; the mid-size HS5 features a classic grille with high recognition; the full-size HS7 is even more imposing and majestic; the E-HS9 scores full marks for futuristic styling, with its ultra-wide screen standing out. The interiors are crafted with premium leather and wood, creating a comfortable environment, while ambient lighting sets the mood. Chinese elements like auspicious cloud patterns are seamlessly integrated, showcasing the brand's unique charm. The seats offer excellent comfort with great support, making long drives fatigue-free. The sleek and eye-catching exterior suits all occasions perfectly.
