When the tie rod is broken, it will make a clunking sound. The symptoms include: 1. At low speeds, the tires may exhibit shaking, bouncing, or wobbling; 2. The steering becomes stiff, and the vehicle is prone to drifting; 3. The ball joint rubber boot is damaged, with oil leakage; 4. While driving, the tire may detach and be thrown out of the vehicle. The method for removing the tie rod is as follows: 1. Use pliers and a flathead screwdriver to separate the dust cover from the steering gear; 2. Remove the bolt connecting the tie rod to the steering knuckle to separate them; 3. Remove the ball joint connected to the steering gear; 4. Install one end of the tie rod onto the steering gear and attach the bolt connecting it to the steering knuckle; 5. Tighten the dust cover; 6. Perform a wheel alignment to adjust the data within the normal range.
