What should be paid attention to when changing car engine oil?

Precautions for engine oil change are as follows: 1. Drain the oil when it is hot for better fluidity; 2. Fill to the mark on the dipstick; 3. Choose the oil change interval based on vehicle condition, road conditions, oil quality, and driving habits; 4. Select oil based on the driving environment, driving frequency, and the requirements of the vehicle's engine itself, preferring higher quality over lower. When selecting engine oil, pay attention to the following four points: 1. Choose engine oil according to the engine's requirements. It is unnecessary to use overly advanced oil in engines with lower requirements, nor should lower-grade oil be used in engines with higher requirements. 2. Try to choose multi-grade oil. Multi-grade oil is economical, has a long service life, and is efficient, providing better protection for the engine. Due to the characteristics of multi-grade oil, it may appear black prematurely or have lower oil pressure compared to regular oil during use, which is normal. 3. Some domestic brand engine oils are of quite good quality and are much cheaper than similar imported products. They can be used with confidence, and there is no need to blindly pursue 'foreign oil.' 4. If the engine is in good condition and the seasonal temperature is low, use oil with lower viscosity as much as possible to ensure smooth oil flow. In high-temperature seasons or when the engine is severely worn, using high-viscosity oil is beneficial for forming an oil film and reducing engine wear.
