What should be noted when refueling a car?

When refueling a car, pay attention to the following: 1. Do not wait until the yellow fuel warning light comes on; 2. Choose to refuel in the morning or evening; 3. Avoid filling the tank completely when driving in the city; 4. Do not refuel during thunderstorms. The fuel pump in the tank is cooled by gasoline. If the fuel level is too low and does not cover the pump, prolonged operation under such conditions may reduce the lifespan of the fuel pump. For city driving, there is no need to fill the tank completely, as frequent stopping and starting can increase engine load. It is recommended not to fill the tank beyond two-thirds of its capacity. Overfilling can cause gasoline to overflow, potentially flowing into the intake manifold through the pipes and "drowning" the spark plugs, leading to engine stalling after refueling. In severe cases, the car may fail to start normally, and gasoline could even leak from the carbon canister, posing a significant fire hazard if exposed to open flames.
