What's the reason for the failure of Baojun's cruise control?

Baojun 730 cruise control cannot be used, possibly due to: damaged cruise switch, circuit failure (such as brake pedal sensor failure, wheel speed sensor failure, and related circuit failures, etc.); ECU cannot receive the signal from the cruise solenoid valve. How to use cruise control: Press the control switch to activate cruise control standby, accelerate to the desired speed, and then push the control lever down to set the cruise speed. To cancel cruise control, you can pull the control lever up, turn off the cruise control master switch, press the accelerator pedal, or lightly tap the brake. Conditions for using cruise control: It should be used on highways or fully enclosed roads. It is prohibited in rainy, snowy, or icy weather. It is also prohibited on mountain roads and curves. If there are too many vehicles on the road, it is not suitable for cruise control.
I've been driving my Baojun car for several years and have encountered quite a few instances of cruise control failure. There could be several main reasons: first, a blown fuse, which can be checked by simply looking at the fuse box; second, a speed sensor malfunction, which affects the system's ability to recognize the current speed; third, an issue with the brake switch—stepping on the brake should cancel the cruise control, but if the switch is faulty, the system remains inactive. It could also be due to aging control modules or wiring, where poor contact or short circuits interfere with signal transmission. Additionally, outdated software versions or user errors, such as attempting to activate cruise control beyond the speed limit, might cause failures. Last time I encountered this issue, it was due to rainwater corroding the wiring, and the repair shop fixed it by cleaning the connections. My advice is, if you experience cruise control failure, don't force it—first, pull over to check the fuses and connections, and if that doesn't help, visit a 4S shop for diagnosis. Safe driving is the top priority. During regular maintenance, ask the technician to inspect the cruise control components to prevent these issues—don't skimp on small expenses only to face bigger problems later.
